Review • Al Shusterman - KCBL/Backroads Bluegrass

alt "After listening to this stellar 42 min project, I wondered where had the time gone. I was so immersed taking in all the 13 original songs & their meanings that I had to hit the start button again to find what I had missed. Believe me, after hearing this project several times you are still wondering what you missed. This project started off with a lament to the good good old days of the trolleys. Several songs down was a great patriotic song entitled, "God Bless My Home". Moving down the line was a tribute to the bands banjo player Dick Brown. This song was appropriately named "That's A Fine Banjo Mr. Brown". Wrapping up the set is a barn burner called "Tool And Die". You will need smelling salts to revive you after hearing this tune. In between is a great collection of songs that you will be humming after you hear them. The vocals are tight, & the instrumental work is top notch. Another fine project by Thomas Porter. I can't wait to share it with my listeners. Thank you for sharing this fine project with us."
