Rocky Mountain Bluegrass with Jerry Mills

alt"Rocky Mt. Bluegrass" host Jerry Mills was given some advice back a few decades back at a Denver Radio station. "If the banjo were any good, the Beatles would have used it." The following week, he interviewed Bill Monroe and never looked back. In its 25th year, "Rocky Mt. Bluegrass” is a freewheelin', upbeat radio show shot from a loose cannon. No stranger to pickin, Jerry is a Mandolin player and he has toured and recorded with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Michael Martin Murphey, The Ozark Mt. Daredevils, and Mason Williams. His band Southern Exposure has been a mainstay on the Rocky Mountain bluegrass scene since 1981. His radio show has been the recipient of awards from Westword among other organizations, and in 2006, Jerry was voted into the Hall Of Honor by The Colorado Bluegrass Music Society. "Rocky Mt. Bluegrass" is reflective of the healthy roots music scene in Wyoming/Colorado and on Sunday mornings you will hear traditional and contemporary Bluegrass, some alternative country, folk, basically, a wide array of acoustic music. Nothing like a Sunday drive with a new destination each week. Hop on "Rocky Mt. Bluegrass" Sunday mornings at 8am on 100.7 KOLT FM.
